Gua Sha & Other Tips

Video 3: Using the Gua Sha & Other Tips

Congratulations, you made it!

Thank you for staying with me for the third of my three free video series.

In this third video I share with you one of my favorite beauty tools, the Gua Sha.

Gua Sha is a very ancient practice that originates from China. In this video, I show you how to use the Gua Sha to firm and tone the muscles of the jaw and neckline. Gua Sha stimulates micro-circulation sending fresh, oxygenated blood to the area you are massaging. Using the tool in the way I have demonstrated also assists in lymphatic drainage, flushing away toxins and puffiness from the face.

You can expect the skin to look pinkish or red following the massage, and this is normal, it’s proof that extra blood flow is reaching the area being massaged. The flushed color will soon disappear.

You can use the Gua Sha when you are in the shower when your skin is wet, or following application of creams and oils to the face and neck. You need to be sure that you have slip on skin, so that the tool does not pull or tug against dry skin.
There are so many other uses for the Gua Sha for a total facial massage so stay tuned for more to come.

If you don’t own a Gua Sha continue to massage your neck and jawline using your hands. If you would like to purchase one, please contact me and I can recommend where you can purchase the finest quality tool.

DISCLAIMER: Please note, if you have acne, open wounds or other facial skin concerns, I recommend that you DO NOT use the Gua Sha.
