Try this soothing and hydrating ritual after you have thoroughly cleansed your skin.
What you will need:
- A clean hand basin or bowl
- A clean face cloth
- Skin soaking drops or 100% pure essential oils; rose or lavender recommended for hydration
- Botanical mist or toner, something like rose water
- A Serum
- A Moisturizer
Have all the above items at hand.
Partially fill a clean hand basin or large bowl with warmed water. Add 3 drops of skin soaking drops or, 2 – 3 drops of rose or lavender 100% pure essential oils to the water. Swish the water and the oils around thoroughly with your hand to disperse the oils. Lower your face over the water and breathe in deeply, enjoy the soothing fragrance.
Next, immerse the clean cloth into the water, really saturate it so it absorbs the beautiful oils, lightly wring out the excess water then press the cloth into your face and neck. Again, take time for some deep breaths in. Repeat this several times, removing the excess water from the cloth and then pressing the cloth up to your face and neck. Do this about 3 or 4 times.
Now you are ready to spray or pat a botanical mist or toner on to your skin before applying a drop of serum to your moistened skin. Follow this with your favorite moisturizer, using your fingers with a press and release technique to apply the moisturizer into your skin so it penetrates deeper into the skin layers.
