Face Yoga provides the opportunity to contribute positively to my anti-aging routine without using expensive chemical based lotions, needles or surgery. It has been easy to incorporate Face Yoga exercises into my day as they can be performed anywhere - in the car, at your workstation, in bed, watching tv or reading and the perfect "pick-me up" that can be done anytime of the day! Having incorporated Face Yoga into my daily routine, I am more energized and confident throughout the day. Like exercising, the changes are noticeable when done on a regular basis. You can't help but be inspired by Joyce's passion for Face Yoga and for living a healthy life. Her precise and clear instruction made the exercises easy to understand and execute. Attending her weekly Face Yoga class was always the highlight to my week, leaving the class feeling confident, empowered, energized with a firmer face.

Since Joyce introduced face yoga to me, the way I treat my face every moment of the day has changed. Attending the face yoga classes, I realized that the daily morning and evening routines of cleansing and the use of skincare are not enough to have a youthful and radiant skin. I had been using so many different high-end anti-aging products, yet I had some deep wrinkles between my eyebrows that were very stubborn. When I started the face yoga with Joyce, these wrinkles started to smooth out. Because her approach is holistic, I was not only training my face muscles to work properly everyday but also I had a deeper awareness of my facial expressions throughout the day so that I could correct the posture of my face muscles any time needed. Further, Joyce made me more aware of what I eat and how that affects my skin. She was so kind to bring homemade veggie and fruit juices that are so good for the skin and shared the recipes with us so that we could lean to prepare them ourselves. It was fascinating for me, to learn about the anatomy of the face; how muscles work; how they create the wrinkles in our skin, and what exercises we can do to prevent them. The face yoga classes with Joyce were fun and benefit the body posture too; opening the chest and the hips and strengthening the core, back, sides of the body, shoulders, neck and arm muscles. It is an all-around work out. I also appreciated the daily routine of face yoga that anyone can do every day in the morning and the evening for 5-10 minutes a day. I wake up every morning and visualize the Sun rising and expanding, sending constant warmth throughout our Solar System, bringing life on the Earth and smiling on us; and feeling my face radiating positive energy with an inner smile that eliminates the contracting and wrinkling in my face. Moreover, I hold this image throughout the day and during challenging situations so that my face has the inner smile the whole time. Thank you very much Joyce for bringing face yoga to me.

During June 2017, I have experienced severe infection on my inner and middle right ear which lead to a serious case of facial palsy in my right side of my face. I have lost the ability to talk for a couple of days, the ability to taste food and drink, to close my eye, to smile and even to control my mouth while eating and drinking. Since then, I was trying to find a solution besides the physical therapy that lasted for about 3 months with a very little improvement in my face. One of my colleagues told me about a face yoga class that is instructed by Joyce Piper and how the class may help to improve my face problem. Also I have heard about Joyce and her capability, passion and the way that she teaches and handles her classes and students. All these reasons made me sign up for Joyce’s face yoga course. There was a couple of sessions each week for one month, and during each session we learned and practiced 1-2 new poses. Throughout the whole course we were encouraged to practice poses on a regularly basis. During that period, I was feeling lots of improvement in my right side of my face including, my eye, eye brow, forehead, cheek and mouth. My friends and family noticed that improvement as well. I believe the main reason behind the huge improvement in my face is due to the positive, inspiration and energetic sessions with meditations and poses which were led by a great facilitator. Sessions were not just poses there were lots of topics covered and learning behind it such as love yourself, believe in yourself, laugh, eat healthy and drink green detox juices, meditation, facial massages and healthy life style.
